Suzannah Espinosa’s approach to therapy is unique and one that’s hard to adequately put into words, but her clients will tell you, she is second to none. As an intensively trained DBT provider serving people in New York and New Jersey, she offers a solution-focused and highly collaborative approach to treatment. Along the way, she strives to not just treat, but also help clients understand their problems and face them inspired, in a way that makes effective use of this knowledge. After all, a strong understanding of the underlying reasons for therapy is key to change.
Suzannah also believes in providing a comfortable and supportive atmosphere for transformation, not a stuffy clinical setting. She uses a highly personalized approach tailored to each individual, helping them attain peace and constructive growth.
She approaches therapy from a DBT perspective and works with parents and children, adolescents, and adults. She involves parents in learning the DBT skills and coping strategies as needed. She often works with patients struggling with suicide, self-harm, emotion disregulation, mood swings, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, and trauma. Additionally, she’s able and comfortable to incorporate faith and spirituality into her treatment plans as well.
